2004 Oltrepò Pavese DOC Pinot Nero Noir, Lombardy, Italy

Very typical nose, small red berries, herbaceous notes, hint of peperoni and some black berries, mineral and light smoky notes. Very clear on the palate, elegant and juicy, typical ripe fruit, sweetish spicy oak, fairly prominent and very fine tannins, slightly sweetish and creamy, good persistence and has some depth, mineral and light earthy notes in the background, good to very good finish.

Best to drink: Bis 2011+. What our ratings mean
