2007 Oltrepò Pavese DOC Bonarda, Lombardy, Italy

Tart, predominantly black berries on the nose, some red berries and sour cherries, light earthy and vegetal notes. Straightforward style, tart fruit on the palate, some old oak, quite moderate tannins for a Bonarda, delicate hint of carbon dioxide, fairly persistent, quite harmonious and pleasant to drink, attractive to good finish.
