2009 Oltrepò Pavese DOC Bonarda, Lombardy, Italy

Tart nose, mixed berries and cherries, light vegetal notes. Clear on the palate, delicately tart fruit, vegetal notes, fairly fine tannins, light acid bite, harmonious, quite a good finish.

Editor note: Slightly artificial red berry fruit on the nose, slightly stalky with some bell peppers. Cranberries and raspberries on the palate, slightly rustic style, superficial, herbaceous notes in the background, medium tannins, quite astringent, still very young, prominent refreshing acid bite, attractive to good finish.
