2014 Dão DOC Reserva, Beiras, Portugal

Slightly open, firm, slightly vegetal notes, partly preserved cherries and mixed berries, with a lot of dark chocolate, roasted nuts, earthy and a little bit reminiscent of root vegetables. Cool-looking, ripe, juicy, but also a little tart fruit with roasted and chocolatey aromas, as well as some vegetal and earthy notes, very slightly greasy, fine sandy, predominantly mature tannins, very good substance and persistence, some bite, notes reminiscent of parsley, still rather undeveloped, a hint of candy, very good, juicy and a little chocolate finish with a hint of pomegranate.
