The wine-growing region is in the northwest of Hungary, about 50 kilometers north of the Balaton (Balaton). In the past, oxidatively developed wines were produced here, which the Tokaj Made competition. The climate is characterized by warm, temperate summers with lots of sunshine and frequent winds. The vineyards cover around 700 hectares of vineyards on partially loamy soil on the slopes of an extinct volcanic cone. Above all, alcoholic, acidic white wines with aging potential are produced.
