Dried vegetal and herbaceous notes on the nose, light spicy and malted notes, partly preserved red and black fruit, hint of broccoli, some bacon and earthy notes. Ripe, juicy, partly preserved fruit on the palate, malted notes and chocolate, some sugar candy and caramel, fine, sandy, slightly astringent tannins, good persistence, lots of alcohol, salty as well as cool minty notes, hint of smoked bacon, fairly rustic style, good to very good finish. Unfortunately slightly misled us in its youth.
