2015 Irpinia Campi Taurasini DOC Ion, Campania, Italy

Slightly meaty-animal and herbaceous-vegetal nose, black berries, cherry notes, earthy notes and a touch of citrus zest. Herb-juicy, quite fresh and firm fruit with noticeable acid bite and fine sandy, youthful tannins, herbaceous nuances on the palate, citrus zests, earthy notes and a hint of pepper, hinted floral in the background, has strength, but remains relatively cool, ethereal traces, very good, firm, tart finish with bite.
