2014 Thermenregion St. Laurent trocken Selektion, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Slightly meaty nose, prominent spicy oak, dark berries and sour cherries, juniper and bay leaf, earthy and nutty notes. Slightly jammy fruit on the palate, sour cherries and mixed berries, some nutty oak, light meaty and leathery notes, good substance and persistence, noticeable warm alcohol, slightly sweet, cloves and juniper, hint of bacon, quite full-bodied, not particularly deep, light acid bite, sweetish fruit on a good to very good finish.
