The winery is located in the municipality of Montalcino (province of Siena) in the Italian region of Tuscany. It was founded in 1981 by Pierluigi Talenti. The vineyards cover 22 hectares of vineyards planted with the red wine varieties Sangiovese (self-selected clone), Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. The vineyards are cultivated according to the rules of Integrated Pest Management. The yield is limited to a maximum of 60 hl/ha. Only physiologically ripe grapes are harvested by hand in several selective harvesting processes. By avoiding the use of animal products during vinification, the wines are vegan.
The product range includes various wines DOCG Brunello di Montalcino, DOC Rosso di Montalcino and IGT Toscana. The wines are aged after maceration with the use of délestage(pumping over) in tonneau and small to medium-sized wooden barrels. The premium wine of the house is "Brunello di Montalcino Pian di Conte Riserva". Around 100,00 bottles of wine are produced annually, 80% of which are exported to the USA, Canada, Switzerland, Germany and Great Britain. Grappa and olive oil are also produced.
