2002 Sicilia IGT Tarucco Peralta, Sicily, Italy

Preserved dark berries with dried prunes on the nose, animal and spicy notes, slightly meaty. Dried berries on the palate, cinnamon, cloves and some coriander seed, dark dried fruit, some licorice and pine wood, old oak with light chocolate notes, prominent tannins, quite substantial, but finish is not particularly long.
