Rather tart, herbaceous-vegetal, onion-like, tobacco and earthy nose with aromas of preserved dark fruits, root vegetables, beans, soup stock, a little nut, smoky wood and tobacco. Herb also on the palate, dark fruit with sooty and chocolatey notes, root vegetables, earth and some onions again, prominent, noticeably astringent tannins, noticeable, warming, almost a little burny alcohol, good substance and persistence, more rustic style, reminiscent of potato peels earthy notes, a lot of cocoa and some tobacco, peppery nuances, some bacon in the background, good to very good, just a little more astringent and alcoholic finish.
