2017 Chianti Classico DOCG, Tuscany, Italy

Very slightly dried vegetable and earthy to tarry scent of black and red berries with a hint of pepper and tobacco nuances. Ripe, juicy, partly preserved fruit with tart woody notes, a little tar and liquorice, fine sandy tannin, some bite, noticeable alcohol, peppery traces, slightly smoky, good to very good finish with herbal nuances, a touch of coffee liqueur and again liquorice.
