2000 Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, Tuscany, Italy

Deep, warm plummy nose, but slightly indifferent, berry preserves and spicy, slightly medicinal oak. Very simple structure, with warm, soft notes, gently and slightly dissolute fruit, medium body, light medicinal notes, oak lacks charm, tannins are dusty and slightly bitter, attractive to good finish.
