2010 Monferrato DOC, Piedmont, Italy

Fairly mature nose, prominent toasted, spicy oak, partly preserved and dried black berries, dried vegetal notes and a hint of tobacco, earthy and light peppery notes. Ripe, juicy dark fruit on the palate, toasted, spicy oak, nutty, earthy, dried vegetal and herbaceous traces, fairly prominent but also integrated tannins, good substance and persistence, full body, warm, very creamy style, herbs and spices on a very good, slightly jammy finish.
