2006 Barbaresco DOCG Martinenga, Piedmont, Italy

Editor note: Partly dried red berries on the nose, light floral and vegetal notes, dried herbs, coconut and light earthy notes, hint of tar. More red fruit on the palate, youthful bite, fairly prominent fine tannins, elegant acidity, some forest floor and leaves, still slightly astringent, slightly perfumed style with notes of coconut, but also a polished style, has some depth and mineral notes, very good finish.
