2004 Barolo DOCG, Piedmont, Italy

Quite a clear nose, partly preserved red berries, some plums and dried leaves. Clear red fruit on the palate, some psicy old oak, delicate floral notes, sandy and slightly astringent tannins, hint of carbon dioxide, not particularly deep, hint of leaves in the background, attractive finish.
