2006 Barolo DOCG Ravera, Piedmont, Italy

Slightly developed, quite firm, some old oak, dried and preserved red and black berries on the nose, sugar candy, sweet tobacco, leather, some plums and earthy mineral notes. Fairly tart fruit on the palate, elegantly juicy, with vegetal, old oak and earthy notes, some tobacco and foliage, slightly brittle tannins, fairly prominent acidity, vegetal aromas on the palate, fairly full-bodied and persistent, appears a bit sparse at first, but gains more with air Juice and depth, leathery notes, very good, quite complex finish with very typical, beguiling aromas.
