2006 Dolcetto di Diano d'Alba DOC Cascinotto, Piedmont, Italy

Overripe, partly dried mixed berries on the nose, herbaceous and light minty notes, some undergrowth. Ripe, full-bodied dried and preserved berry fruit on the palate, herbaceous notes, some cool notes but also quite powerful, slightly noticeable alcohol, astringent tannins, starting to dry out slightly, nevertheless a good long finish.
