2005 Beaujolais-Villages AOC, Beaujolais, France

Medium-intense, youthful nose, red berries and some blackberries, light herbal notes. Fruity with prominent carbon dioxide, which enhances the slightly rough tannins, quite good presence on the palate, herbal notes, quite creamy, attractive to good finish. It is only the carbon dioxide at present that prevents a higher rating.
