The winery is located in the township Langenlois
in the wine region Kamptal
(NE). Viticulture has been practiced in the family for centuries. The great-grandfather of the current owner Thomas Leithner was the well-known vine grower Dr. Fritz Zweigelt
(1888-1964). The vineyards cover 12 hectares of vines in the Fraupoint vineyards, Schenkenbichl
and stone house. They are 75% with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner (main variety), Riesling, Traminer, Chardonnay and Neuburger, as well as with that created by the great-grandfather Zweigelt
planted. The symbol included in the logo is the grasshopper mantis (Mantis Religiosa), which is environmentally conscious Organic viticulture
symbolize in harmony with nature. Premium wines are Grüner Veltliner Privat, the white wine cuvée "Mantis Religiosa" (Chardonnay, Neuburger) and the Zweigelt Hommage which has been aged in barrels for 24 months. Around 50,000 bottles of wine are produced annually; part of it goes to the USA. Fine brandies are also produced.
