2015 Barbera d'Asti DOCG Superiore Sorangela, Piedmont, Italy

Slightly spicy, dried herbaceous and slightly tobacco-like nose, black berries and cherries with dried floral and earthy traces. Firm, tart dark fruit on the palate, light oak and tobacco, prominent fine sandy and still slightly astringent tannins, roasted and tobacco notes in the background, earthy and salty mineral notes, full-bodied, good persistence, good to very good, firm, tart finish noticeable tanning reef.
