2006 Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, Tuscany, Italy

Baked and preserved black berries on the nose, dried herbs, sweetish tart spicy notes, some sugar candy and dark caramel, animal and nutty notes, toasted, spicy oak. Full-bodied and juicy on the palate, slightly jammy, prominent spicy oak, fairly prominent tannins, very creamy, light acid bite, chocolate and caramel, dried berries, herbaceous notes in the background, light mineral notes, quite a modern style, still undeveloped, noticeable alcohol, with aeration develops over several days, becomes more elegant and harmonious, good contours on a very good, long finish.
