2006 Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Voliero, Tuscany, Italy

Candied nuts, dried mixed berries and some varnish on the nose, coco, candied soup greens, caramel, a hint of malt and some earthy notes. Fairly juicy and slightly jammy on the palate, ripe, partly candied fruit, nutty and roasted notes, fairly persistent, noticeable alcohol, becomes more integrated with aeration, integrated tannins, not particularly deep, very good finish.

Best to drink: 2013-2017+. What our ratings mean
