2000 P.D.O. Samos (O.P.E.) / Σάμος süß Anthemís, Aegean islands / Νησιά Αιγαίου, Greece

Fairly cool nose with dried and partly candied fruit, light raisiny notes and delicate herbaceous notes. Coffee on the palate, candied nuts and dried apricots, also some muscat flowers, cloves and raisins, quite cool on the palate in spite of the high residual sugar, slightly piquant, bitter notes typical of the variety in the background, hint of herbs and spices, light mineral traces, almost imperceptible acidity, not particularly deep, but has a good long finish.
