2003 Colheita Seleccionada "Gloria", Douro, Portugal

Chocolate and light spicy notes on the nose, tarry and smoky notes, just a little fruit in the background. Sweetish chocolate notes dominate on the palate, with light berry notes and a hint of floral notes, overall a stylish and very polished wine, slightly playful, and with no character of its origin, marzipan, slightly alcoholic with bitter notes on an otherwise attractive finish.
