2006 Makedonikos Topikos Oinos/Μακεδονικός Τοπικός Οίνος Syrah, Macedonia / Μακεδονία, Greece

Fairly mature nose, preserved berries, some candied cherries, spicy notes and undergrowth. Cloves, coriander and licorice on the palate, preserved and quite tart cherries and red berries, some herbaceous notes, light acid bite, quite light-bodied style, slightly prominent but fairly well integrated tannins, very slightly astringent on an attractive to good finish.
