Somewhat developed, warm, slightly muted, slightly animal nose of ripe black and red berries with woody and slightly tobacco-like spice and a hint of pepper. Ripe, again somewhat developed and muted, warm fruit, present, slightly drying, sandy tannins, good persistence on the palate, herbal and peppery nuances, some hazelnut and a hint of cocoa in the background, has power and melting, metallic and animal traces, iodine and blood, sweet core, very good, albeit high-alcohol and slightly tannin-dry finish. Becomes more rustic with maturity.
