Firm, slightly smoky, bacon and peppery scent of black berries with floral aromas, earthy tones, dried herbs and a hint of citrus fruit. Powerful in the mouth, quite polished dark, tart and juicy fruit with toasty and peppery spice, present, slightly sandy tannin, herbs in the background, again a little citrus, still young, has bite and feel, some dark chocolate, very good finish with hints of candy and a little dark caramel. Still tightens with air.

Best to drink: 2017-2025+. What our ratings mean
