2018 Friuli Isonzo DOC Sauvignon Blanc "Piere", Friuli/Venezia-Giulia, Italy

Surprisingly cool looking, polished, quite classy, fresh vegetal and a little floral citrus nose with notes reminiscent of celery, some elderflowers, green berry nuances and clear minerality. Firmly knitted, tart, juicy fruit with white and black berry notes, citrus aromas and distinctly floral tones, vegetal to herbal on the palate, lively acidity, a bit of ripe tannins, lots of strength and high, but integrated alcohol, clear minerality, nutty and delicate yeasty notes, a hint of pepper, very good, firm, again alcoholic finish.
