2004 Barbera d'Alba DOC Scarrone, Piedmont, Italy

Blueberries, red berries and dark chocolate on the nose, dark roasted notes. More dark chocolate on the palate, red and black berry fruit, slightly astringent tannins, good acid bite, good substance, persistent on the palate, quite dominated by oak, but has some depth, good long finish.
