2016 Chianti Classico DOCG, Tuscany, Italy

Fairly earthy and slightly mushy nose, predominantly black berries, touch of dried vegetal, floral, tobacco and oak notes. Tart juicy, firm, lively fruit with bite and youthful tannins, dried herbaceous, floral and peppery notes on the palate, good substance and persistence, a hint of citrus zests, some salt in the background, hint of cocoa and coffee, hints with cocoa and coffee Air still too, rather elegant style, quite firm, juicy and again very slightly drying finish. Must still mature a little.
