2016 Côtes de Thongue IGP Carignan Méchant, Vieilles Vignes, Languedoc, France

Tart, still reductive, meaty-animalish nose, black berries on the palate, vegetal and earthy notes, black olives and provence herbs. Ripe, quite firm, juicy fruit, quite polished, very fine, youthful tannins, nutty aromas and a hint of cocoa on the palate, dried mushrooms, undergrowth and hint of pepper, in the background earthy and salty notes, still very young, has power, good to very good finish.
