2012 Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, Tuscany, Italy

Slightly nutty nose, preserved mixed berries, some tar, root vegetables, leather and oaky notes. Fairly soft, slightly tart fruit on the palate, nutty and spicy oak, fine sandy, slightly astringent tannins, fairly full-bodied and persistent, warm alcohol, not particularly deep, herbaceous traces, slightly astringent, slightly astringent on a good to very good finish.
