The estate is located in the municipality Wachenheim in the German wine-growing region palatinate, It was founded in 1756. Built in 1843 in the Palladian style villa, as well as in the cellar area created Enothek offer generous space for tastings, events, or seminars and meetings. In 1996, the winery, after several changes of ownership, of Dr. Loosen (Growing area Moselle ) and by JLWolf in Villa Wolf renamed. Since 2001, Patrick Möllendorf and Sumi Gebauer have been responsible for the production of the wines and the care of the vineyards.

The vineyards correspond to the vineyard classification of the Royal Bavarian Government of 1828. They cover 8.4 hectares of vineyards, based on the individual layers Pechstein = Great location (forest), high Castle (Ruppertsberg), as well as Goldbächel, Königswingert and in the monopoly Belz = first layers (Wachenheim) distribute. They are over 90% Riesling, the rest of the varieties Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir planted.
