2004 Goriška brda Merlot-Cabernet Sauvignon trocken Teodor Rdeče Selekcija, Primorska, Slovenia

Muted, earthy nose, blackcurrants, herbaceous notes and some undergrowth. Quite firm on the palate, straightforward vlackcurrant fruit, delicate hint of bell peppers, some undergrowth, herbaceous notes and noticeable old oak, rustic style, both varieties are evident in an attractive ratio, has backbone, quite full-bodied, tannins still slightly prominent, slightly green and rough on an otherwise good finish. Needs some time to develop.
