The winery "Vins Miquel Gelabert" is located in the municipality of Manacor on the Balearic Island
Mallorca. It was founded in 1985 by Miquel Gelabert. The vineyards cover eight hectares of vineyards in the DO area Plà i Llevant and are distributed to the five vineyards Es Morro, It Poas, Es Rafalot, Son Caulse and Son Nadal. There are the indigenous varieties Manto Negro, Callet and Moll (Prensal Blanc), the Spanish varieties Garnacha Blanca, Garnacha Tinta, Macabeo, Moscatel de Málaga, Parellada and Xarel Io, and the international varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer, Malvasia, Merlot, Moscatel de Alejandria, Pinot Nero, Riesling and Shiraz. Winemaking takes place in combination of traditional and state-of-the-art methods. All but the other wines are fermented in steel tanks with the exception of Chardonnay, which is allied to Alli. The red wines mature for 12 months in American and French oak barrels. After bottling, the bottles are stored between 6 to 12 months prior to commercialization. Every year around 20,000 bottles of wine are produced.
