2013 Barolo DOCG Cannubi Boschis, Piedmont, Italy

Rather tart, slightly dried floral, cedar and earthy scent of liquorice, dried mushrooms and forest soil with a little resinous herbs and dried tomato and partly dried red forest berries. Somewhat subdued fruit in the mouth, nutty, resinous-herbal and slightly vanilla tones, present, somewhat drying tannin, strong and slightly warm on the palate, smoky, dried floral and delicately bacon tones, some pepper and noticeably cocoa, hinted resinous herbs and paprika powder, some acid bite, still young, a touch of citrus zest, also marjoram, still young, very good, juicy and spicy finish.
