2013 Negru de Drăgășani trocken Via Marchizului, Dealu Mare DOC, Romania

Somewhat muted, animalic and clearly nutty-woody aroma of boiled-down black berries and a little cherry with leathery, dried-vegetable and tarry notes. Also in the mouth preserved fruit with a lot of chocolaty and smoky-roasty wood, liquorice and some tobacco, predominantly friable, partly slightly sandy-drying tannin, a lot of alcohol, clearly smoky-specky flavours and dried root vegetables, lasting, a bit rustic, a bit heated, good to very good finish
