Editor note: Dried vegetal and earthy notes on the nose, yeasty and nutty notes, restrained yellow fruit aromas. Warm, fairly sweet fruit on the palate, prominent yeasty and nu8tty notes, hint of caramel, fairly moderate mousse, light tannic grip, has some substance and persistence, buttery traces, some sugar candy in the background, touch of spicy cardamom, hint of tobacco, nutty, spicy oak on a good, warm, fairly sweet finish.
Best to drink: To 2020

The German growing area Franconia used to be in the three main triangle areas, Mainviereck and Steigerwald with 23 large layers and 216 individual layers. In November 2011 a new regulation was decided by the members of the Franconian Wine Association. The three old areas will be replaced by 12 much smaller ones. In the medium to long term, these will also replace the 23 large locations. The old areas once played a role in the predominant marketing of Franconian table wine, which they had lost for a long time.
