2005 Carnuntum trocken Ex Terra Reserve, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Cranberries and cherries on the nose, delicate vegetal notes, some green bell peppers, mineral traces, spicy oak. Quite firm on the palate, fairly cool berry fruit, sour cherries and plums, light vegetal notes, noticeable roasted flavours, polished tannins, medium persistence, prominent roasted notes on a good finish.

Editor note: Partly preserved and partly dried red and black berries on the nose, delicate vegetal and floral notes, touch of oak. Spicy roasted oak on the palate, but also quite juicy, some sandy, dry tannins, vegetal notes, slightly sooty, prominent alcohol, good persistence, good finish.
