2016 Portugieser trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Light earthy and dried vegetal notes on the nose, hint of bacon, touch of green beans, black berries and a few cherries, tobacco and capers. Tart, dark fruit on the palate, vegetal notes reminiscent of beans, light oak, earthy notes, light peppery spice in the background, fairly well integrated fine, sandy tannins, very slightly astringent, medium body and some persistence, hint of tobacco, mineral notes, good to very good, firm, tart finish.
