2017 Klingenberg Schloßberg Portugieser trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Hint of bacon on the nose, light dried herbs, touch of sooty oak, predominantly dark berries and a few cherries, earthy notes. Tart fruit on the palate, sandy tannins, earthy and spicy notes, hint of bacon and some oak, fairly persistent, good substance, medium body, good to very good, slightly astringent finish.
