2015 Klingenberg Schloßberg Spätburgunder trocken im Barrique gereift, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Light dried vegetal notes and a hint of tobacco on the nose, light spicy oak, red and a few black berries, tart nutty aromas, smoky traces, earthy and mineral notes. Clear, polished, elegant, juicy fruit on the palate, earthy and nutty notes, hint of mushrooms and undergrowth, fine sandy tannins, good persistence, light bite, spicy traces, salty traces in the background, fairly firm, very good finish. Traditional style in the best sense of the word, should mature very well, but is already very enjoyable now.
