Editor note: Light nutty and earthy notes on the nose, vegetal traces, some pomaceous fruit. More nutty notes on the palate, delicately creamy fruit, very elegant acidity, persistent, vegetal traces, restrained, integrated tannins, earthy and mineral traces, hint of cocoa, very slightly noticeable warm alcohol, good creamy, spicy finish.
Best to drink: To 2018+

The German growing area Franconia used to be in the three areas Maindreieck, Mainviereck and Steigerwald with 23 large layers and 216 individual layers. In November 2011 a new regulation was decided by the members of the Franconian Wine Association. The three old areas will be replaced by 12 much smaller ones. In the medium to long term, these will also replace the 23 large locations. The old areas once played a role in the predominant marketing of Franconian table wine, which they had lost for a long time.
