2015 Ried Baumleiten Merlot Reserve trocken, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Light earthy and dried vegetal notes on the nose, mixed berries and a few cherries, hint of bay leaf and some capers. Clear, fairly firm, tart, juicy fruit on the palate, dried vegetal notes, hint of tobacco, light oak, peppery traces, integrated sandy tannins, fairly good substance and persistence, slightly creamy, nutty aromads, cocoa and some cake spice, very slightly astringent on a good to very good finish.
