2004 Mittelburgenland Syrah trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Red berries and preserved cherries on the nose, black pepper, delicate floral notes and roasted notes. Clear, straightforward style, quite juicy, fairly prominent, well integrated spicy oak, coconut and vanilla, slightly astringent tannins, medium-bodied and creamy, very modern style, herbaceous notes in the background, good persistence, good finish.
