2005 Mittelburgenland Blaufränkisch trocken Classic, Burgenland, Austria

Quite a shy nose with blackberries and cherries, slightly green with herbaceous notes. Medium-bodied and quite firm on the palate, clean, fairly prominent cherry and blackberry fruit, overall fairly simple style, not a lot of substance, moderate mineral touch, slightly prominent fine-grained tannins, touch of piquant acidity on an attractive finish.
