The estate is located in the municipality Ilbesheim (area Southern Wine Route) in the German wine-growing region palatinate
, Originally a mixed farming business in the 1960s, the specialization in viticulture took place. The wines were self-marketed from 1972. The company is managed since the year 2000 by Frank Ackermann, father Karl-Heinz takes care of the outdoor operation. The vineyards cover 13 hectares of vineyards in the layers hare (Eschbach), Kaiserberg (Göcklingen), Rittersberg (Ilbesheim) and Sonnenberg
(Leinsweiler). They are planted with the white varieties Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Gewürztraminer, Sylvaner, Müller-Thurgau, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, as well as the red varieties Pinot Noir, Portuguese, Dornfelder, Merlot, Cabernet Dorsa and Cabernet Franc. The management is carried out taking into account the relationships between grape variety, location and vegetation phase by differentiated approach in greening, foliage, tillage, grape maintenance and yield reduction. The wines are fermented individually with controlled temperatures for each type of wine, some very long on the stored and differently developed in stainless steel, oak barrel or oak barrique. Orchards are grown on one hectare and fine spirits are produced in the company's own distillery.
