The winery is located in the municipality Gols (Neustiftgasse 59) in the Burgenland wine-growing region Lake Neusiedl (Austria). The family has been growing wine for over a hundred years. Today the business is managed by Andreas and Christine Wendelin. The vineyards cover 19 hectares of vineyards in the vineyards Altenberg Edelgrund Goldberg and Ungerberg in the nature reserve Neusiedlersee. 75% of them are planted with the red varieties Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch , St. Laurent, Blauburger, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah, and 25% with the white varieties Grüner Veltliner, Welschriesling, Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. The total of 100 kilometers of rows of vines are cut from the winter, pruning, thin out cared for up to the harvest.

The classically aged white wines in the steel tank are bottled in March. The white wines aged in barrels remain on the yeast, which is stirred in the barrel every week (bâtonage). They are only bottled in July / August. The fermentation takes place with the red wines and with the white barrique wines spontaneous, ie initiated with natural yeasts. One third of the barrels are replaced annually. The quality wines are in large wooden barrels; the selection wines produced from grapes with radical thinning are aged in barriques. It is mainly based on indigenous grape varieties. The red wine cuvées have a high proportion of Zweigelt or Blaufränkisch.

The flagship of the house is the red wine blend "Prophet" blended from Zweigelt, Merlot and Shiraz. The wines from the individual varieties are aged separately in barriques for 18 months. The cuvée is then assembled from the very best barrels and matures in barriques for another six months. Other premium wines are the cuvées "Poet" ( Blaufränkisch , Zweigelt, St. Laurent), "Priamos" ( Blaufränkisch , St. Laurent, Cabernet Sauvignon), "Heideboden rot" (Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch , St. Laurent) and "Heideboden weiß" (Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc), as well as the “Zweigelt Edelgrund”, “Blaufränkisch Klassik”, “St. Laurent Ungerberg ”and“ St. Laurent Classic ". In weather-appropriate years there will also be a Eiswein produced.
