, The family has been wine-growing since 1672. Today Andreas Laible successfully continues this long tradition together with his wife Ingrid and his two sons Andreas and Alexander. The vineyards cover seven hectares of vineyards, six of which are in the best area of the renowned individual location Plauelrain
(Durbach). They are planted with the varieties Riesling (4 ha), Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Gewürztraminer, Scheurebe, Chardonnay and Müller-Thurgau. Over a dozen clones are used, including old ones from France and Croatia, as well as self-selections. Maintaining the grapes' own aromas in the wines is a top priority. That is why the fermentation takes place exclusively in steel tanks, if possible only with natural yeasts. The winery is a member of VDP
(Association of German quality wine estates).
